We're in Limpopo Province just outside of Kruger National Park. We hunted all day yesterday here with Shamba Safaris. Yan is the professional hunter. Really great, beautiful place. Nice little stone houses we're staying in. Sat on stand all day yesterday with Matt (cameraman). Saw only some baboons and some impala. Sat on stand this morning and got an impala with my Alpine Yukon bow. Then, right at last light got a bushbuck with my bow, so, once again, I'm officially a bowhunter! Everything is going good. Tomorrow we're hunting waterbuck and we'll see what happens. Two shots with this Alpine Yukon bow, and two animals ...
Two Days Later ...
Yesterday we went out all day for waterbuck and bushbuck. We did not get either one. Never saw one big enough. Then today we got up late. Louise and I went into town and did a little sight-seeing and then this afternoon Eva and I went on stand. We were waiting for either a kudu or wildebeest, but nothing came in this afternoon. She had her Alpine bow with her, but no luck. She's shooting great with it, though, in practice. Two-inch groups at 20 yards!! So we're going to try again tomorrow and then go to Kruger National Park and video and have a good day looking. We're looking forward to it. We're only here for one more day after that and then on to Uganda!
