When you talk about tarpon fishing, Boca Grande Pass, Florida, is the place to be come late spring. This jewel just north of Fort Myers on Florida’s west coast has earned the name “Tarpon Capitol of the World” as thousands of migrating tarpon pass through here each spring.
Fight just one of these monsters and you’ll understand why it’s called the “Silver King.” A tarpon can fulfill…or shatter…a dream with one tremendous gill-rattling leap. Either you bow…or you break your line.
The guides who target the Silver King are passionate about their sport, yet have a very short window to make or break their season. The competition for customers is fierce and the guides work hard to produce fish each day. Marauding sharks (both giant hammerheads and bulls) are just one of the daily challenges to landing these fish.
Come along with four of the top guides in the tarpon runway known as “The Pass.”
