Ambush Firearms offers 300 Blackout as a caliber option in 2012

Black Creek, GA – December 30, 2011 – Ambush Firearms, Daniel Defense's hunting line, announces that it will offer a new caliber option that will debut at the 2012 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. Ambush will offer the 300 Blackout, 7.62x35mm, as a caliber option in conjunction with the currently offered 6.8mm. The Ambush announcement was made at the same time it was made public that Daniel Defense would be offering the 300 Blackout as a caliber option for the DDM4 V5 in 2012.

Ambush Firearms' 300 Blackout will be offered with the MFR™ (Modular Float Rail) 12.0 rail system, a 16" mid-length Hammer Forged barrel, a two stage Geissele Super Semi-Automatic trigger, and a shotgun inspired hand grip. As with the currently offered Ambush Firearms 6.8mm, the 300 Blackout will be offered in Mossey Oak® Break Up® Infinity™, Realtree AP™, and black. Both caliber options come in weighing just over 6.5 lbs.

Ambush Firearms was launched at 2011's SHOT Show, and while still in its infancy, Ambush has quickly become the benchmark for premium AR-‐styled hunting rifles. "The thought process was simple. We (Ambush Firearms) wanted to offer the hunter a bigger projectile that has a lot of knockdown power but in a lightweight platform. We (Ambush Firearms) accomplished this by chambering in 7.62x35 (300 Blackout)", Jordan Hunter, Marketing Manager for Daniel Defense and Ambush Firearms. "There are so many great things about this round. What I'm really excited about is that this round is still as light on the shoulder as a .223. And because of that, any age or experience level of hunter will be able to effectively use this rifle", he also added.
