LAS VEGAS – At first glance, it looks like just a camo lawnmower. Closer inspection at the True Timber booth shows it’s much, much more.
Mike Timberlake, lead project designer for Denver Global, said those curious enough to ask what the heck it is exactly usually drop their jaws.
“It’s amazing. Wow, this is cool. Why didn’t I think of that?” This is awesome. Why did it take so long for somebody to come up with this,” he said of reactions he’s gotten. “I could save so much money.”
The Raven MPV is a multipurpose vehicle that would be useful in a variety of situations. It switches from lawnmower to ATV by pulling three pins holding the deck.

“The Raven is not really classified as an ATV, but it’s not really classed in a 46-inch lawnmower,” he said. “It’s a two-wheel drive hybrid electric vehicle and also runs on gas.
“It has a five-gallon gas tank and has a built in 7100 watt generator. In electric mode or gas mode, it will go up to 17 mph and can pull up to 515 pounds.”
Otherwise, an outdoorsman’s dream. Timberlake said Denver Global just kept adding on features, like the Warn winch, storage bed, trailer hitch, adjustable seat and cruise control.
“We were looking at outdoor products and changing the game,” he said. “The engineers kind of had a brainstorm for building a generator into a lawnmower. It was going well then we starting seeing many more applications.”
The Raven weighs in at 875 pounds and retails for under $4,500.
How folks will utilize it is up to them, but Timberlake and the engineers had some ideas.
“Every time you just sit back and think of something,” he said. “Going to a tree stand, you can mow around your area, you can pull a small trailer out there, take a circular saw, run your generator and build your tree stand.”
“You can go into your tree stand in stealth mode. Pull your deer out with a gas motor. Anybody with a small piece of property that’s around 2 acres will want to use this.”
