Thankful at Thanksgiving

Outdoor Channel personalities tell us their personal reflections

Thankful at Thanksgiving

The complaints are rampant that shopping season is taking over holiday season. Black Friday battles to save a few bucks are giving us a black eye.

Leave it to our Outdoor Channel personalities to put Thanksgiving in perspective. From time with family and friends, to support for our troops, our talent relates what they are truly thankful for.

Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, Crush with Lee & Tiffany "We are so blessed and thankful for each other and our families and being able to spend our time together in the outdoors. We are also very thankful that our families have not disowned us for being gone on every holiday for the last 15 years!"

- Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, Crush with Lee & Tiffany

Deb Ferns, Babes with Bullets "I’m blessed to be a woman in the USA; the only place on earth where I have the right to own firearms and encouraged to use them!"

- Deb Ferns, Babes with Bullets

Dave Mercer, The Bassmasters and Facts of Fishing "When I first started to think of what I am thankful for, so many things started to pop into my head. Of course my family, our health, our happiness … then all of a sudden I realized it’s going to be very hard to pick just one thing when I have so much to be thankful for. So I guess that's it, I am thankful for having so very much to be thankful for."

- Dave Mercer, Facts of Fishing

Ted Nugent, Spirit of the Wild "As a hunter and fulltime “we the people” American activist, I am ultimately tuned in to the most important aspects of the American Dream. Though some people are sadly disconnected from nature, we who cherish Her annual bounty via the natural fall hunting season know intimately why Thanksgiving is in November. As harvesters of God's annual natural renewable bounty, we sincerely thank God for his miraculous creation and how nature sustains our very lives. As a participating American in this sacred experiment in self-government, I am eternally thankful to celebrate every day of life as an American in The Last Best Place. The whole world sucks, but American still sucks less, and during the mystical hunting season, life doesn't suck at all."

- Ted Nugent, Spirit of the Wild

Big Bill Busbice, Wildgame Nation "Family and love from them, and for them."

- Big Bill Busbice, Wildgame Nation

Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo, Archers Choice "We have many things to be thankful for most of all our family and friends! We live in a country that we can freely choose to do what we want and be able and make a living doing it. In all our travels around the world thanks to our Military we have these choices!"

- Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo, Archers Choice
