Most widely known for his appearance as The Bachelor on the 6th season of ABC’s “The Bachelor” (a reality TV dating program), Byron Velvick is also well known as an 18 year touring professional angler on the exclusive B.A.S.S. Elite Tour as well as host/analyst of an extensive array of outdoor TV venues.

Byron has been the weekly co-host/analyst of ESPN’s only fishing-news show “Basscenter,” host of ESPN‘s “Weekend Angler,” host of ESPN’s saltwater series “Going Costal,” host/on-the-water analyst for six “Bassmaster Classics,” host of NBC Sports “City Limits,” and a guest on a wide variety of outdoor as well as mainstream shows such as The View, Ellen, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel, Dennis Miller, Entertainment Tonight, etc.

Among his many accomplishments in the sport of professional fishing Byron is a two-time U.S. Open Champion, two-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, three-time B.A.S.S Elite Invitational Champion, IGFA/Rolex Light Line Tournament Champion, and current record holder for the heaviest three day total winning weight on the B.A.S.S invitational tour. Byron has won 22 professional national and regional tournaments and earned over $1.2 million in tournament-purse winnings.
