Episode 401 - The Return to Mora County

We take a journey into the heart of New Mexico where the largest pronghorn antelope are bred year after year. Bill Gorman has an affliction for hunting and conservation. This holds true on his journey into the beautiful open terrain of Mora Country.

Episode 402 - Product Developers in Kansas

Follow Bill Gorman as he ventures down to Kansas where gigantic whitetail are harvested every year. Heading to Tall Tine Outfitters to see his friend Ted Jaycox, Bill is also bringing Senior Product Developer for L.L.Bean, Jeff Miller.

Episode 403 - A Search for the Canadian Moose

We head north on an adventure like no other to the border of Alberta, Canada and the Northwest Territories, where the moose roam freely. Living most of his life in Maine, Bill Gorman is no stranger to moose hunting, but this journey is like no other.

Episode 404 - Management Down in South Texas

Heading to the Floyd Ranch for his fourth year in a row, Bill is on the hunt for a big mature deer, but still hopes he can get a peek at the infamous G-12 buck that he passed on last year in the name of proper game management.

Episode 405 - Pronghorn and Mulies in The Cowboy State

Travel into the beautiful open country of northern Wyoming where the mule deer and pronghorn antelope are plentiful. Hunting with his friend Trinity Powers of Powder Horn Outfitters, Bill Gorman is sure to have a great hunt.

Episode 406 - Hiking for Coues Deer

We head south to Sonora, Mexico just outside of Moctezuma where the mountains hold a lot of untold stories. Having only hunted coues deer a couple of times, Bill is really looking forward to trekking new terrain with a few of his good friends.

Episode 407 - Bugles from New Mexico

We travel back down to New Mexico, but not in search of another pronghorn… This time, Bill Gorman is on the hunt for the monster elk that migrate down into Mora Country for the winter. This is a hunt like no other, and you won’t want to miss it.

Episode 408 - A Son's Redemption

Billy Gorman heads to Kansas for his second year in a row, in search of his first mature whitetail. Bill is unable to join his son this week, but is sure to check in with him every day in hopes of hearing the great story that is sure to come.

Episode 409 - Slugs for Points

We take a journey into the vast woods of Illinois, where some of the biggest whitetail have been harvested. Bill Gorman got a special invitation from a couple of longtime friends, and there was no way he could pass up the opportunity.

Episode 410 - The Stubborn Osceola

Head into the palmy ranches of central Florida, where the Osceola turkey dominate the fields. Bill's Production Coordinator, Scott Quinney, has never hunted Florida, but being guided by Lou Haubner of the NWTF, the guys are sure to see some birds.

Episode 411 - High Level Bruins Pt. 1

Follow Bill Gorman into the thick forest of High Level, Alberta to help manage the black bear population. Having hunted with Wally Mack many times, Bill knew it would be a great place to bring a few friends.

Pick back up with Bill Gorman and a group of his good friends while they continue to manage the black bear problem in northern Alberta.

Season: 2015

Episode 301 - New Mexico: Monster Pronghorn

Bill Gorman takes a trip to New Mexico to try out his new Merkel Helix. After meeting up with his good friend Hunter Ross of Desert Safaris, Bill sets off to tag a record book pronghorn antelope. Check back to see if Bill can fill his tag on the biggest pronghorn of his life.

Episode 302 - Texas: Bow Huntin' the Floyd Ranch

Bill Gorman heads back to his longtime friend Tom Floyd’s place in hopes of harvesting a trophy whitetail with his bow. Last year Bill was able to take down a monster with his rifle and this time he decided to make things a bit more challenging. Be sure to watch and see if Bill can let an arrow fly on a mature South Texas buck.

Episode 303 - Germany/Romania: Calling All Roe Deer

This week on L.L.Bean’s Guide to the Outdoors, Bill starts off in Germany, meeting up with Anke Sauerteig from the Merkel gun company. After a couple days of slow hunting, followed by a tour of the Merkel factory, they head over to Romania in hopes of changing their luck at finding a roebuck. Tune in to see if Bill and Anke can get on these elusive deer.

Episode 304 - Oregon: Back with a Bow

This week on L.L.Bean’s Guide to the Outdoors, Bill heads back to Western Oregon Outfitters in an attempt to harvest a Columbia whitetail with his bow. Having been successful in years past with both a bow and rifle, Bill is hoping to find a mature buck he can set his sights on. Tune in to see if Bill can get it done with his bow in Oregon for the second year in a row.

Episode 305 - Utah: The Bugling Elk

Bill is off to Utah this week to meet up with the guys from Mossy Oak, and he’s pulling out his bow to track down a trophy elk. With some of the best elk herds in the world located on this property, will Bill be able to single out one worthy of his trophy room? Tune in to find out.

Episode 306 - Kansas: Like Father, Like Son

Bill heads back to Tall Tine Outfitters in Kansas, but this time he brings his son Billy along for the ride. Billy’s never harvested a mammoth buck, and Bill could only think of one place to take him for his first. Be sure to watch and see if Bill and Billy can get it done in Kansas.

Episode 307 - Alberta: The Frigid North

Bill heads back to the frigid north this week to meet with his good friend Wally Mack in search of big Canadian whitetail. Even with temperatures below zero, the winter in Alberta has been very mild and the bucks just aren’t up and moving yet. If Bill can stick it out for six long days, will he be lucky enough to have some big boys stroll through?

Episode 308 - Texas: A Brotherly Competition - Cast and Blast

This week on L.L.Bean’s Guide To The Outdoors, Bill brings his little brother, and Chairman of L.L.Bean, Shawn Gorman to Texas. The pair take part in a little brotherly competition on the water. Join Bill and Shawn on the waters of South Texas for a Cast and Blast weekend.

Episode 309 - Wyoming: Blind Hunting Elk

Bill Gorman is heading to Wyoming this week to try and chase down another colossal bull elk with his bow. After successfully taking down his 7th elk with a bow in Utah, he is looking for his 8th while going against tradition and hunting out of a blind. Be sure to watch this week to see if Bill can fill his tag.

Episode 310 - Saskatchewan: First Time Buck

Bill takes Anke Sauerteig from the Merkel gun company to Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan for her first ever whitetail hunt. Join Bill and Anke in the freezing north to see if Anke can harvest her first whitetail, and see if “One Day Bill” can hold out for just a few more days.

Episode 311 - Mexico: A Quest for the World Slam

Bill teams up with the NWTF for the second time in order to find the ocellated turkey in the jungles of Mexico. Bill has never hunted this subspecies before, and it’s a bit harder to pick out a big one than it would be for your average gobbler. Come along for the ride and see if Bill will be able to fill his tags, or if picking out a monster will be his demise.

Episode 312 - Texas: Back on the Floyd Ranch

This week on L.L.Bean’s Guide to the Outdoors, Bill heads back to the Floyd Ranch late into the season. This time he’s there to help his buddy Tom manage the property as a part of the MLD program. Be sure to watch and see if Bill can assist in managing this massive South Texas ranch.

Episode 313 - A European Adventure

After a successful Romanian roe deer hunt earlier in the season, Bill goes back with Banatura to see if he can track down some of the giant brown bears he’s heard rumors of. Traveling between Austria, Hungary and Romania, Bill’s dead set on knocking down one of these beasts, and possibly a roebuck along the way. Tune in to find out if Romania’s brown bears are as big as they say.

Episode 102 - Saskatchewan

This week on L.L.Bean Guide To The Outdoors, Bill meets up with former MLB player Mike Timlin in Saskatchewan, Canada to hunt monster whitetail. From travel delays, to below zero temperatures, the guys do everything they can to make it happen. Check in to see if the guys can pull it off.

Episode 103 - Germany

This week on L.L.Bean Guide To The Outdoors, Bill heads to Suhl, Germany to check out Merkel’s new rifle, the R. X. Helix. Bill takes a tour of the factory to see how the Helix is made, and even gets to put it the test while trying to take down a red stag. Tune in to see how the Helix performs under pressure, and find out if Bill can close the deal.

Episode 105 - Wyoming

This week on L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors, Bill is in Wyoming trying to take down an antelope with his bow for the first time. There is a bad drought in Wyoming this year and the antelope population isn’t as strong as years past. Make sure to watch and see if Bill can seal the deal with his bow.

Episode 109 - The Arctic

This week on L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors, Bill heads to the top of the world, in search for muskox. Bill is hunting in the Arctic once again, this time with Dean Capuano of Swarovski Optik. Watch to see the guys battle subzero temperatures in search for a trophy muskox.

Episode 110 - Florida Hog

This week on L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors, Bill meets up with L.L.Bean Developer Kevin Murray and Kurt Heisler from the design team to do some hog management down in Florida. Hogs are over populated and need to be managed, so they will not destroy the environment. Luckily, pigs are a great source of food. Tune in to see if the guys from L.L.Bean can help Florida with a little hog management.

Episode 113 - Canada Bear

This week on L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors, Bill takes his daughter up to Canada to try and get her first black bear. Bill hunts so often, it is always nice to take a little time with his family and try to pass on his love for the great outdoors. Tune in to see Bill spend some quality time with his daughter and guide her to harvest her first black bear.

Season: 2014

Episode 1 - Oregon - Bow Hunting for Blacktails

Bill travels to Oregon to meet up with his buddy David Trinchero of Western Oregon Outfitters in search of a trophy Columbian blacktail. This will be Bill’s third year going to Western Oregon Outfitters; he has a blacktail and a whitetail with his rifle and is now looking to do the same with his bow.

Episode 2 - Texas Whitetail - Monsters Grow on Floyd Ranch

Bill heads back to the Lone Star State to meet up with longtime friend Tom Floyd in hopes of getting a trophy whitetail. Tom and his brother have an extensive piece of land that they manage to prevent the introduction of outside genetics into the herd. Tune in to see what Tom and his brother have been able to accomplish with proper game management.

Episode 3 - Mexico - Where the Coues Deer Thrive

Bill takes a trip over the border into Mexico to try and fill his tag on a Coues deer. Meeting up with Ted Jaycox and his new partners at Tall Tine Outfitters, Bill sets off to try and tag a record-book coues deer. Be sure to watch and see if Bill can put his name in the book.

Episode 4 - Africa Part 1 - Buffalo in the Long Grass

Bill returns to his second home, Africa, where he meets up with his good friend and outfitter J.P. Kleinhans (Kline-hauns) to try and take down a cape buffalo with his bow. Bill’s favorite thing to do is hunt cape buffalo. With three already under his belt using a rifle, Bill decides he wants to make things a little more interesting. Tune in to see if Bill can achieve a lifelong goal, or will the brutal brush of Mozambique, be his downfall.

Episode 5 - Colorado Elk - L.L.Bean Gets Addicted to Elk

Bill meets up with Jon Brunson of Addicted to the Outdoors and friend Brad Miller in Colorado to try and fill a few elk depredation tags. With Elk being known for destroying agricultural resources in the area, see if the guys will be able to get the job done, and fill their depredation tags on some elk.

Episode 6 - Texas Duck - Swarming with Redheads

Bill is Texas-bound to meet up with Mike Joyce, CEO of PrimaLoft, to try and knock down some ducks. They will be hunting with Bill's friends Tom Floyd and Charlie Buchan down in South Texas. With hundreds of Redheads flying in and a limit of only two, watch to see if the guys can hit their day limits of six birds on some other species.

Episode 8 - Africa Part 2 - The Elusive Sable

Bill is in Africa finishing up his trip with plains game and helping the locals. Bill is with his good friend J.P. Kleinhans (Kline-hauns) to try and track down a sable, but being in Central Africa, you never know what they might run across. Join Bill and J.P. in Mozambique to see if they can find that elusive sable.

Episode 9 - Kansas - The Land of Tall Tines

Bill heads back to Tall Tine Outfitters in Kansas to hunt whitetail with his longtime friend Ted Jaycox. Bill had a tough time with his bow last year, and never did fill his tag after two chances with a 150-class eight-point. Be sure to watch this week to see if Bill can fill his tag; or if hunting Kansas with a bow is going to be his kryptonite.

Episode 10 - Nebraska - Frozen Ears in the Sandhills

Bill joins Deer Meadows Outfitters in the Sandhills of Nebraska, just after the arrival of a big cold front and snowstorm. Planned as a great hunt with a nice fall-like setting, it quickly turned into an exhilarating hunt with temperatures reaching as low as -30ºF. Be sure to watch and see how Bill holds up in the unforgiving winds of Nebraska.

Episode 11 - Turkey Grand Slam Part 1 - Save the Habitat

Join Bill on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to complete a grand slam of turkeys. Bill teams up with National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) for, Save the Habitat, Save the Hunt, to raise awareness of diminishing turkey numbers and to help them raise 1.2 billion dollars to conserve and enhance more than four million acres of habitat.

Episode 12 - Turkey Grand Slam Part 2 - Save the Hunt

Bill and the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) are off to finish his turkey grand slam. NWTF has launched Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt program to help grow both the turkey and hunter population. Come along for the ride to see if Bill can complete his grand slam and while supporting Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.

Episode 13 - Axis Deer - Looking for Spots and Shooting Dots

A free range axis deer hunt with Desert Safaris is this week’s adventure. Before heading to see Hunter Ross for his axis deer hunt, Bill will meet with friend and sponsor Dean Capuano of Swarovski Optik to attend the FTW Shooting School.

Episode 14 - Saskatchewan - Searching for Monsters

This week on L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors, Bill heads back to Saskatchewan, Canada, to hunt whitetail deer. See if Bill can hold up against the harsh weather, and sub-zero temperatures in Canada’s frozen north.

Season: 2013

Episode 1 - Oregon

Episode 8 - Texas Mule Deer

Bill heads down to the H. E. Sproul Ranch in Fort Davis, Texas. Bill is looking for the opportunity to get nice and close a couple mule deer. Make sure to watch this week and see just how close Bill can get to some muleys.
