Kevin Holtz

Kevin Holtz

First exposed to lumberjack sports in 1995 while in college, Kevin Holtz has seen the sport from almost every angle. Before joining the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series in 2003, Holtz worked as a lumberjack entertainer, promoter and professional competitor.

Since then he has informed and entertained fans as a stage announcer, a field reporter and eventually a co-host of the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Professional and Collegiate Series. In these roles, Holtz uses his experiences as a competitor to take fans inside the wood-chopping action.

Off the air Holtz is a mild-mannered science teacher; just ask his students. He also applies his degrees in Conservation and Forest Biology as an independent tree pathologist and forest manager. Holtz lives in Farmington, NY and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children. During any available free time he can be found in his garage/woodshop trying to get the upper hand on his personal honey-do list.
