Bruce Horrell has been waterfowl hunting for 62 years, growing up in Southern Illinois during the hey day of the Mississippi flyway. He has a Masters Degree from Indiana University in Recreation with a specialty in Outdoor Education. After college, Bruce went into a career of education and even became a golf professional. Throughout his career, hunting ducks and geese has always been his number one priority. Bruce became heavily involved with Ducks Unlimited, achieving State chairman status from 1982-84 and national trustee in the late 80s. In the mid 2000s, Bruce developed a friendship with Dave "The General' Gruber. Bruce's first ever appearance on the American Birdhunter was sadly The General's last duck hunt - a late season hunt in Cape Cod, MA. From 2006-2010, Bruce co-hosted "The Wingshooter" on Outdoor Channel and in 2014 took over co-hosting duties on CZ-USA's American Birdhunter. When he's not golfing or waterfowl hunting, Bruce spends time in Alabama with his wife Marilyn and dog Mojo. He's also an avid listener of "Mike and Mike in the Morning" and can recall virtually any conversation ever had on that program.
