Steve’s world class in two distinctly different – and demanding – disciplines: an artist with tremendous vision and force; and an exceptional, accomplished big-game hunter with a lifetime of wild experiences under his belt, and countless trophies on his wall.
In the art world, he stands alone as one of the great wildlife sculptors of his time – earning major Best of Show ribbons in three decades and the prestigious “Peoples’ Choice” at the Oklahoma National Art Show. His work is on display at universities across the country and in public and private collections around the world including those of President Gerald Ford and the Emperor of Japan.
In the outdoors, Steve has distinguished himself as a skilled outdoorsman with uncommon commitment – taking the grand slam of North American sheep two times and reaping nature’s bounty in myriad ways across his 40-year hunting career. He’s traveled, hunted and fished in Alaska over 30 times and has taken numerous big-game trophies in Africa – including the Big Five.
