Meet The Host
![Lake Pickle]()
Lake Pickle
Born and raised in Mississippi, Lake grew up chasing whitetails and waterfowl across the hardwoods and flooded timber of the Deep South, where a deep love for wild places and wild things took hold early. Now rooted in his home state, he brings that same hands-on passion to his work at onX Hunt.
Whether he’s out duck hunting with his dog, calling turkeys across state lines, or sitting behind a dangerous game rifle on the plains of Africa, Lake is always chasing the next adventure.
Most importantly, Lake is driven by a belief that the hunting tradition is worth fighting for — on the landscape, in the culture, and in the next generation of hunters who deserve wild places worth exploring.

Ben Brettingen
Hailing from the land of 10,000 lakes, Ben spends much of the fall and winter following pointing dogs through grouse woods, western plains, and deserts of North America in pursuit of upland birds. A passionate conservationist, he is an active member of Pheasants and Quail Forever and serves on the Board of Directors for the Ruffed Grouse & American Woodcock Society.
Above all else, he is a devoted husband and father of two, driven by a deep belief in preserving the opportunities that shaped his life so the next generation can inherit them with the same sense of wonder and possibility.
![Jared Larsen]()
Jared Larsen
Jared grew up in Wisconsin, loaded into backpacks before he could walk, chasing whatever was in season. Whitetails with a bow eventually took over and became a focal point in life as he went to Iowa State for the deer tags, came away with a marketing degree, and spent the next decade putting those two things to work getting the onX Hunt app into serious hunters' hands.
His pursuits change through the progression of fall. August and September belong to bugling elk and the never ending allure of Alaska, by late October through November, he's locked in on whitetails across the heartland. With December and January comes hunting ducks and upland birds with his black lab and a trip or two to chase deer in the deep south. Ultimately what is most fulfilling is who's in camp: his fiancée, parents, siblings, uncles and cousins have been there for most of what's mattered. Making sure those opportunities still exist — for his kids someday, and everyone else's — is what hunting means to him at its core.
![Dylan Dowson]()
Dylan Dowson
Born and raised in Montana, Dylan grew up hunting the sagebrush and coulees of eastern Montana, where a lifelong passion for western big game and wild places took root. Now based in Missoula, he has spent more than a decade at onX, helping hunters prepare for their adventures through his work. Whether he's scouting a new unit, planning the next season, or carrying a tag in his pocket, he's always looking ahead to the next adventure.
Whether in the field or at home, Dylan's priorities begin with family. As a husband and father of two sons, he's focused on raising the next generation with a deep appreciation for hunting, wildlife, and the places that make those experiences possible.
