LAS VEGAS -- Camo guns are in. They provide that added concealment for hunters, and some are just plain cool.
The checkered walnut, the standard rifle of your father, is being replaced more and more with camo designs that match that particular region.
“We’ve obviously had camo guns for a long time,” Remington’s Mike Vrooman said. “I’d say in the last 10 years, it’s come to the forefront where people are shopping patterns, really wanting everything to match.”
While you can get the latest in most of the popular camo designs, there are companies on the SHOT Show floor that can help you change your drab to fab.
Kryptek, which has roots in military camouflage, is making a splash with a variety of its designs. Kryptek offers pre-cut universal wraps that fit a variety of guns.
Or you can take your gun to one of the 500 certified Cerakote Firearms Coatings specialists and get state-of-the-art coating that comes in a plethora of colors.
