GRANITE CITY, IL – The Eighth Annual Patriot Day Fishing Tournament will be held on Sunday, September 11 at Horseshoe Lake State Park’s C.A.R.P. pond, hosted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and the Metro East Patriots Day Committee.

The park grounds will open and registration of children ages 4-15 will begin at 10:00 a.m. Children and families can enjoy the IDNR Urban Fishing Trailer, the virtual fishing simulator, and the felt fish pond. The fishing tournament will begin at 11:00 a.m. Trophies and door prizes will be awarded at 12:00 noon.
